Let’s build together a Youth and Culture Center in Pattaya

Au Coeur du Siam is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged people in Thailand.

Today, we are launching an ambitious project: the creation of a Youth and Culture Centre in Pattaya. This space will be a true place of exchange, learning and fulfillment for the local community.

Pattaya Discovery

Pattaya’s eastern district, often referred to as “DarkSide”, is set back from the coast, far from the busy tourist areas. Less well known to visitors, this area is mainly inhabited by a local Thai population, with a high proportion of low-income families.

Here, the pace of life is simpler, infrastructures are sometimes inadequate, and the need for education, social support and youth activities is very real.

It’s a neighborhood where social inequalities are more visible, but also a place rich in humanity, where solidarity and mutual aid take on their full meaning. Many families live here in precarious conditions, with limited access to certain basic resources, making it a priority area for social actions and solidarity initiatives.

It is precisely in this context that humanitarian projects can have a concrete and lasting impact.

Why a Youth Center in Pattaya?

In this part of Pattaya, many low-income families have no access to suitable educational and cultural facilities. The Youth Center we want to create will aim to offer :

• Free English courses for young Thais to give them better professional opportunities and help them enter international careers.
• Paid Thai courses for foreigners, whose revenues will help finance the MJC’s other activities and support the association’s operations.
• Musical and cultural workshops to encourage creativity, develop talent and build bridges between generations.
• A space for co-learning and mutual support, where young people can work together on their academic or professional projects.
• Conferences and cultural events to promote intercultural exchange and raise local awareness of various themes.

Our Need for Funds

To make this project a reality, we need your help! We plan to rent a townhouse in Pattaya to set up this living and training space. The funds raised will be used to :

• Rent a townhouse to create a welcoming, functional setting.
• Fitting out classrooms and leisure areas, with adapted furniture and teaching materials.
• The acquisition of IT and audiovisual equipment, to give young people access to new technologies and develop their skills.
• Funding for the first few months of operation, including administrative costs, electricity, water and essential supplies.

To achieve this, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal and contributes directly to the education and development of many children and adults.

• Share this project with your friends and family to help us reach as many people as possible.
• Organize a fund-raising event: you can hold a charity dinner, auction, concert or tombola, with all proceeds going to the project.
• Launch an online fundraising campaign: create a fund on social networks or a donation platform to mobilize your community around our cause.
• Take part in a sporting challenge: marathons, hikes or other sporting events can be an opportunity to raise funds by finding sponsors and donors.
• Hold a garage sale: sell items you no longer need and donate all or part of the proceeds to our association.
• Involve your company: if you’re an entrepreneur or employee, talk to your company about our project and propose a sponsorship or a rounding-off of payments.
