Thailand is a kingdom in Southeast Asia. It borders on Malaysia, Burma, Laos and Cambodia, where Thai is spoken.
Formerly known as the Kingdom of Siam, Thailand only took on this new name in 1939.
It is one of the few Asian countries never to have been colonized, and is a member of ASEAN.

What missions does Au Coeur du Siam offer?
- The first volunteer assignment would be to join a center in Bangkok.
Here, children are taught art, music and English. - The second volunteer assignment would be to look after an MJC in northeast Thailand.
You'll be asked to set up fun and educational activities for the children.
In addition, you'll be in charge of giving English lessons in a school close to the MJC.
What are the requirements for humanitarian missions?
- Join the association (free membership)
- Have a B1 level of English for the 1st mission, but only a school level for the 2nd.
- Experience with children (professional or personal)
What is the minimum duration of volunteer assignments?
The second volunteer mission in north-east Thailand requires a minimum of 2 months' availability.
